Frequently Asked Questions
What are Sola Wood Flowers made of?
Sola wood comes from a tapioca plant root. The tapioca plant is known by many names: cassava, manioc, arrowroot, and sometimes yuca. Each flower is hand-made and hand dyed so no two flowers are alike. Sola Wood Flowers are sustainable and eco friendly. They are also a cost effective alternative to real flowers.
How do you maintain your arrangements?
While Sola Wood Flowers are indeed everlasting and low maintenance there are a few things to know to keep your arrangement looking its' best.
If you need to dust your flowers, you can use a can of air spray like you would use for your keyboard, or you can use a blow dryer on a low, cool setting. Keep a safe distance as to not disturb any filler that may be included in your arrangement.
To maintain the vibrancy of your flowers, keep your arrangement out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
If you need to store your arrangement away for a season, make sure it is kept in a cool, dry place that has air flow. Do not keep closed in a an airtight box or container. Because the flowers are made of organic material, if there is no airflow flowers may mold.
